I am a Loser!
The pic of me in the pink shirt was at 242 pounds. It's funny, I knew I was overweight, but I never "got" it until I started pulling out the old pics.
I am as stubborn as a mule. I think that is my driving force. I think I thrive from doing things that others don't think I can do. But, my motivation started at a party in September of 1998. It was a company party for my husband's work, and all around me were beautiful women, playing volleyball in short little shorts. I felt so misrible, and so out of place. I spent the night eating hotdogs and chips-feeling very ashamed. I vowed that I would never again feel that way. So, I began to change.
My biggest fault was pure laziness. It was so much easier to buy fast food and cookies. I now buy fruit, and veggies (I still hate them though :) and I write down every morsal of food I put in my mouth. I do give myself breaks every now and then, but I struggle with feeling like a failure when I do (need to work on that). I have between 1,100 and 1,300 calories per day, and I limit my fat to less than 20 grams a day. I was into doing Richard Simmons nightly, but I haven't in a while, and I cant wait until spring, so I can start my walking again!!
