I thought I would have a little fun while sharing some of what i've learned with you. Sometimes on special days we get side-tracked which in turn can set us up for self-destruction. There is no reason we can't enjoy the things we love and still have fun on halloween while keeping ourselves on program. I hope this page will help us to do just that!

- Plan ahead.
- Know the points for your favorite treats.
- Meet your water, fruit, veggie and calcium requirments early in the day.
- Stay low range during the day so you'll have the points for later.
- Bring low point goodies with you if you're trick-or-treating with kids and think you'll need them. (hard candy & gum are always good to take with you.)
- If you're at home giving out candy, have a glass of water at your side and be sure to have some things on hand to help you stay on program.
- Keep your 'red light' foods OUT of the house.
- Hand out treats that are less tempting for you. (My kids love getting things like pencils and small toys or even little juice boxes.)
